Ruffled Feathers is located on the southwest side of Chicago, near the I-55 and I-355 interchange, and is regarded as one of the top public courses in Chicago.
It was designed by Pete and P.B. Dye in 1991, and plays to 6,898 yards, 75.6/140, course/slope ratings, par 72 from the tips, but has four shorter tees. The course is a challenge both off the tee, and on approach to the greens. The layout includes great variety-holes where you can grip it and rip it, intermingled with those that require good course management, with water hazards in some shape or form in play on most holes. The putting surfaces are quick but receptive, though quite a few are crowned or ridged.
