Quechee Lakes, is a 6,000 acre planned community an hour north of Manchester, NH, located along the Ottaquechee River, and is a private club, but available to guests of several local resorts and hotels. There are two 18 hole courses here.
The Highland Course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish and is a rolling course through tree lined fairways with significant elevation changes throughout. The layout provides a shotmakers course navigating through the tree lined fairways around stone walls, streams, and a number of uneven lies. The course measures 6,840 yards from the back tees, 72.7 handicap rating and 134 slope with six shorter tees.
The Lakeland Course, also by Cornish, is 6,671 yards from the tips, with a handicap rating of 72.2, and a slope of 131. The course is more of a links style course in some ways in that you'll able to run the ball to the green on a number of holes. It's runs along the Otauquechee River, and is a bit milder than the Highland course due to its more forgiving fairways, but still a fair test for your game.
