Quail Ridge Country Club in Acton at the corner of Route 2A and Route 27 near Boston. It had been a private members only course, but is now open to the public as well.
The course is parkland style designed by Mark Mungeam, and routed through a pine tree and hardwood forest bordered by conservation areas and wetlands with each hole isolated. It's a definite shotmaker's type of layout which not only requires accuracy but distance depending on the tees you select. Some holes favor a fade while others a draw, with a fair amount of elevation change and frequent water in play. From the Black tees, it's 6,312 yards, 73.8/138, course/slope ratings with four shorter sets of tees.
