Ocean Shores is just east of the Pacific routed through a residential development in Ocean Shores 30 minutes due west of Aberdeen.
The course opened in 1961 and grew in stages to a full 18 hole championship course and at one time was owned by Pat Boone, who hosted the Celebrity Golf Classic here and later a regular L.P.G.A. Tour stop. There's two completely different types of golf courses here with tight, tree lined fairways for nine holes then a more open and links-like layout with tall native grasses lining the fairways and the wind affecting play on the back side. It's only 6,252, par 71, 117 slope from the back tees with a couple of shorter tees, designed by Dan Hixon.
