The course is located just off 395 on the road to Carson City, south of Reno and about 20 minutes from downtown. It's the home course for the University of Nevada, plays to an overall yardage of 7100, with a slope of 133 from the back tees, and was designed by John Fleming. The course tends to be very windy since it's exposed without tree cover or hills to break the wind. It's one of the more reasonable priced courses in area, and does get a lot of play. The fairways are wide and forgiving, the par threes are very good, and the overall layout is mostly straightforward. The approach to the greens are the course's main defense being slightly elevated, some slope, with good undulations, and moderate speed. It's a very sold course, somewhat forgiving, at least off the tee, and kept in good conditions, and best of all reasonably priced.

Fun course! Not long but a lot of risk reward type holes. Good par 3's on the course. Undulated greens that can get VERY fast. Keep the ball below the hole here in summertime. Nice little bar and the food is pretty good. There are also lots af great views of Reno out there. It was once the home course for UNR golf, not sure if that is still the case. It's not too far from Incline and the N side of Lake Tahoe either.
