Natural layout, running through wooded areas with lots of elevation changes. Close to downtown Atlanta, and Hartsfield Jackson west of the airport on Camp Creek Parkway. Plays to 6,121 yards, 121 slope from the front tees, and designed by Mike Young. Can play to over 7000 yards with a slope rating of 143. Always in great shape and overseeds fairways in the winter.

The fairways and greens (bent grass) are almost always in great shape and there is enough variety in the terrain and the design of the holes and greens to keep you both interested and challenged. Wolf Creek plays about 7100 from the tips and about 6500 yards for those us who tee-off from the blues. The course can be more than a bit penal if you don't keep the ball in the fairway. In addition to the challenge of the 18 holes, nature lovers will, in the evenings, also see deer (big ones) dash along the fairways and into the rough. Marty and AJ, in the clubhouse are friendly and accomodating and seem to be truly interested in you enjoying Wof creek and they act like they want you to come back. Although there are courses on the north side of Atlanta that are better known especially to outsiders, until recently Wolf Creek has been one of the better kept secrets in among golfers. If you are in the Atlanta area it is a MUST play. One tip: Play Wolf Creek during the week. The course has increased in nototriety and popularity. Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons are witness to a full parking lot of cars and golfers.

Played Wolf Creek Wednesday this week. One of things I really liked about Wolf Creek is every hole is different. Some are long, some shorter, some are very narrow while others give you plenty of room. There are some drastic elevation changes and three holes (#12, 13, & 15) have blind tee shots. There are many opportunities to get yourself in trouble with water, wetlands, and lots of trees lining many of the fairways. This is not an easy course as evidenced by the slope of ratings. Another thing I really liked was the par 3 holes. Many newer course are making par 3's ridiculously long (over 200 yards) but not Wolf Creek. Instead they are challenging in different ways. Two of them are steep downhill with very little room if you miss the green. The course is in very good condition and the greens are in really nice shape.

Had not played the course in about 2 years, but found the course to be in great shape even though it had poored the night before. The cost was reasonable on the weekend. The marshalls made sure the pace was kept without bothering the golfers and the lady in the clubhouse was awesome. You should check online for some weekday rates that seemed like a great deal!
