The course is located in northeast Independence, about 25 minuest east of downtown Kansas City. It's the only golf course I've ever heard of that was built over a limestone mine, and you can actually feel a vibration from the mining equipment or blasting underground. It's really a good, solid, but difficult course at 6,752 yards from the back tees, 131 slope and was designed by Craig Schreiner. The course is parkland style with good elevation change, mounded fairways, mostly open, but with some tree lined holes.
