Williamsport is a treat to play, even though it's a bit expensive if you're unaccompanied, but it's unusual to be able to play a Tillinghast course, or find one open to public play. It's a classic parkland style course on the rolling hills of north central Pennsylvania and the Appalachians. A moderate use of bunkers around the raised greens, with most open in the front. Small, fast greens with a good amount of break, and somewhat hard to hold. The course is very well conditioned, and a private club atmosphere.
