The Wilds Golf Club is in southwest Minneapolis at 140th street in an upscale residential development. It's a private club, but allows outside play, and was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, playing from 7000 yards, 147 slope, 74.2 course rating from the Weiskopf tees, but has four other tee boxes. Parkland style course, tree lined fairways, rolling hills, water on at least half the holes, and well bunkered. I like the design features, and the housing doesn't really infringe on the course experience, and it's a neat course to play with the elevation change. Have always liked a Weiskopf design, this one doesn't disappoint, just a little pricey, and a bit snooty. Good course conditions and pace of play.

Nice, long tract, course is in great shape early this season, maybe the best I've ever seen it. Rough can be thick at times, but all tee boxes, fairways and greens are well-maintained. Pace of play got us finished in about 4:30 on a Saturday. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.
