Wildcat is pure golf, no housing at least yet. Two great 18 hole courses here and great facility. It's located south of Houston, south of the 610, south on 288, west on Airport a mile. Both courses built on an old landfill, so the course has some elevation change, unusual for Houston, and in fact you can see downtown Houston from the courses. Both were designed by Roy Case, the Highlands Course is 6,954 yards from the back tees, 135 slope, 73.6. Lakes Course: 7,016 yards from the back tees. 135 slope, 73.2 course rating. The course has a good sized clubhouse, four putting greens, range and a golf school. Both courses are challenging, and well conditioned, the Lakes is just more difficult to me with the amount of water that comes into play. The Highland course is more of a links design with high native grasses and well bunkered, with undulating fairways and fast greens. The Lakes, to its name has more water in play in addition to the rolling fairways, but doesn't have the tall fescue bordering the fairways, and both have good elevation change. The only negative on the courses are a few blind shots, but otherwise, it's fun and challenging and usually in good shape.
