Whitepath is up in the Chattahoochee National Forest in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. It's located just 90 miles north of Atlanta and 75 miles from Chattanooga, between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, GA.

It's a mountain style of layout, carved through the trees with great views and major elevation change. It was designed by Rocky Roquemore, and from the tips is 6,139 yards, 68.6/126 ratings, with two shorter tees. The layout has a number of elevated tees with views for miles, hilly and sloping fairways, and small greens, and is tougher than the course ratings indicate.

One thing Whitepath has going for it is the natural beauty all around it. You can't help but enjoy the ride down tree-lined fairways and along clear mountain streams and rivers. The layout of the course is such that seldom are any holes visible but the one you're playing. The fairways are narrow, the rough mild and the holes, by today's standard, are short. But it is still a challenge for any golfer. It may not be the best manicured course you've ever played, but you will usually get good lies in the fairways. The greens are where this course could use some professional help. While the bent grass does cover well, currently, they run very grainy and a tad slow. I would swear I was putting on Bermuda. But other than that, you will enjoy a pleasurable round of golf at Whitepath. It also has a descent driving range and a practice green very much like the real ones. Stock your cart up with water, none of the 18 holes have drinking water. Bogey's grill has a quick order menu, but it's not always open; might want to call the course if you plan on lunch because there's nothing around to eat for miles.

Played yesterday, the golf course iis in great shape - only a little more than an hour outside of Chattanooga, this course is not a great course to boost your confidence, more mountain style of play with hilly and sloping fairways and small greens affects your ability to score. The fairways were in great condition, the rough had some brown patches, but nothing that really affected your shot. The greens were the best part of the course, all 18 greens were in perfect shape, they rolled true
