Wentworth is another casualty of the recession, a former private course that is now open to public play. It's on the east side of Tarpon Springs, on the south side of Keystone Road, just west of East Lake Rd, routed through an upscale community. The course was designed by Steve Smyers, and can play from 5,000 yards to 6,500 yards, we generally play from the Blue tees right at 6,000 yards, with a 133 slope and a 69.2 course rating. It's one of the better golf courses in the area to be sure, conditions are excellent, service and food at the high end private golf level. The course is a challenge, a good amount of water, sand, and narrow landing zones, but very interesting with a variety of holes. More parkland style with some trees lining the fairways along the homes, with wetlands and a good number of bunkers in play.

Played Wentworth for the first time in January 2011. Great layout though a bit tight which makes up for the short length. Conditions were excellent. Very challenging course that I think most people would enjoy.
