Walkabout is a deal. It's located in an upscale housing development that hasn't taken hold too well. It's at the northeast corner of I-95 and SR 46 in Mims, about 45 minutes from Orlando, longer from the attractions area, and 30-40 minutes from Daytona. It's an interesting course designed by Jan Stephenson and Perry Dye, who probably did most of the work, and greens fees are very reasonable with a number of specials always running. Nice rolling land, mounded fairways, water and sand in a natural setting, even has a par three 19th shaped like Australia. Water's in play on most holes, lots of sand, including hole long waste bunkers, greens are perched and well guarded. Hard to believe this course exists based on the amount of play we saw, conditions are patchy, but what do you expect for $35!
