Victory Ranch is 15 minutes southeast of Park City in Kamas. It's a private club, part of a real estate development that's yet to take off, so they still accept public play. I think you'll have plenty of time to play it before they go private, there's not much in the way of a membership there. The course was designed by Rees Jones, and opened in 2009. It's a mountain layout with views for miles, with every hole seemingly playing downhill, I know that's not possible, but that's how it seems. All the holes are wonderful, but the par fives and especially the par threes are spectacular. The lack of trees and buildings makes everything appear farther than it is. A couple par five greens appear to be over a mile away from their tee boxes--but they are not. The course plays 7599 yards down to 5422 yards from the front tees, we played 6726, but given we're at 7,000 yards elevation, it wasn't all that long, and very playable if you can possibly keep your mind on the game. Almost all the holes are framed by sage, fescue, and heather with the Upper Provo River running through the course. From top to bottom the golf course is 100% solid, and not one bad hole in the bunch, the best thing about Victory Ranch was how playable the golf course was. Beautiful views overlooking the Woodland Valley, Upper Provo River, Deer Valley and Uinta Mountain Range, overall just stunning.
