Verdict Ridge is northwest of Charlotte, west of Lake Norman off Rt 16. It's a residential development course, but not a lot of homes developed here, and definitely don't affect play or visually detract from the course. From the back tees, it's 6987 yards 142 slope, and was designed by Ed Schweitzer. Rolling hills, tree lined and boulder strewn fairways, large, undulating and quick greens. Worth the drive out in the country to Denver, well conditioned and interesting set of golf holes. The course is challenging with plenty of water hazards in the form of streams, ponds, and wetlands, nice elevation change on the back side, and very scenic.

Had wanted to play this course for some time and finally got the chance and was not disappointed. Great layout (some of the holes were flat out beautiful). Fun yet challenging. Greens were in great overall shape. Fast but not ridiculous. One of the top courses I've played in the Charlotte region. Can't wait to go back!

Course not in as great shape as it was at the beginning of the year. Fairways were very hard and is really showing course wear from all of the play this year. Some of the greens were nice but had a lot of ball marks.
