Robert Trent Jones, Jr designed course for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The front nine on this well-manicured layout is a links-style design, whereas the back nine is more traditional as it is routed through a heavy forest of mature trees. The course is a challenging design with the greens well protected with sand and grass bunkers. It is well regarded by most of the golf publications as one of the top courses you can play. From the tips, the course measures 6888 yards with a handicap rating of 73.2, and slope of 142, so bring your best game.

Course is in excellent shape and management appears to put a lot of effort into keeping it that way. There seemed to be one greenskeeper on every hole. This is a very tough course. Snack bar is pricey but excellent.
