The University of Illinois has two 18 holes courses that are open to the public. They're located south of Champaign on US 45 right next to the Willard Airport. The Orange course was the first one built in the early 1950's. It was designed by C.D. Wagstaff, and plays to 6,817 yards, 72.1/120. The Blue course is 6,579 yards, 73, 70.4/114, and opened about 15 years later. The Orange course has more water in play, 7 holes, while the Blue only has two holes with water. Both courses are well maintained, the rates are great, just is very busy, and slow at times. Enjoyable and challenging.

Grip it & Rip it! This course is very open and plays long, so swing full every chance you get. Greens are in great shape and FAST! Service is great and course is a lot of fun. I really enjoyed everything about my round at the U of Ill course, (except my score)!
