University Golf Club is on the far south side of Chicago, off I-57 at Saulk Trail, then east and south to Steunkel Road. The golf course was originally designed by Larry Packard, and from the back tees is 6,700 yards, 123 slope, with three other tee boxes for shorter yardage. The course was well maintained, parkland style of layout, challenging, but not terribly difficult. Although, there's water on half the holes, it's still relatively open and forgiving off the tee. The course is a little hilly, some of the tees are elevated and the greens raised, with moderate amount of bunkering, mostly greenside. The rates were very reasonable for the quality of the golf course and the conditions, and was worth the long drive out here from the Loop.

This is a good course and it is in great shape, but it is severely overpriced. They had a snack cart on a weekday morning and it made several passbys. Rough was lush and full and greens and fairways were great. Traps had nice playable sand, overall enjoyable experience as always.
