Twin Falls is about 40 minutes west of Beckley in southern West Virginia. The original 9-holes were designed by Geoffrey Cornish in the late 1960’s and the second nine by George Cobb, Sr. The course is a traditional type of layout with tree lined fairways routed through the valley floor between the mountains, and has water, in the form of a stream, on all but a couple of holes. There's accomodations in the park with a lodge and cabins, rustic and simple, but scenic, and reasonably priced. We travel down from Charleston for a long weekend once a summer and find the golf course enjoyable, fair and challenging, and in reasonably good condition for the most part. It's on the short side at 6,382 yards from the tips, par 71 with a 71.3 course rating and a 132 slope.
