The course is hard on the Mexico border 15 miles west of Douglas, and 10 miles from Bisbee. The course originated in the 1903's under the WPA Act with 9 holes until another nine was added in 1999, which was designed by local golf pro Dick Atkinson, and is recorded as the oldest continuing operating course in Arizona. The course can play to 6778 yards from the back tees, but has three other options at shorter yardages. The old nine is typical of the older courses with small raised greens. The fairways are fairly forgiving, bordered by cottonwood, fir, and mesquite trees. It's a relatively flat course overall, with the greens larger on the new nine back side. It's a nice setting in the middle of the Sonoran desert with the mountains and the high desert in the background. It's tough to find, you have to be in this area for something else, but once here, it's a bit of an oasis.
