Tryall Golf Club is one spectacular golf course set along Jamaica's North Coast, not only for the scenery, but also the design. It was designed by Ralph Plummer, and plays 6,720 from the tips with a Par of 71, with a 72.5/133 course/slope rating from the Blues and 71.0/128 from the the Whites. Very tough golf course, great condition, fast greens. Spectacular views of the ocean, contoured fairways with interesting trees and plantings. It's known as one of the better championship courses on Jamaica, and has hosted 5 Walker Cups, Mazda Championships, The Jamaica Classic and Shell's Wonderful World of Golf. You need to be a guest of the resort here to play the course, and it's definitely worth it. The trade winds are always blowing, averaging 20 miles per hour, providing constant challenge in getting around the course successfully. The first six holes are routed near the coastline, and other than the coast, these holes were a bit boring. The course was mostly open off the tee, but the approach shots to a variety of green placements and hazards presented the most challenge. An ideal time-tested mix of fun and challenge With holes that border the shoreline and with the edges of jungle ravines, Must play if you're near here in Jamaica
