Trapp River is on the north side of Wausau out in the country with half the holes routed through the trees, the others more wide open and links style with the Trapp River running through the middle of the course. The course has been around since the 1960's, was designed by Todd Sloan, and from the blue tees plays to only 6,300 yards 116 slope. Expensive if you rent a golf cart, especially on weekends, but it's walkable, in fact more enjoyable to walk. Nicely conditioned, natural setting with a good mix of interesting and varied holes. Bar/restaurant in the clubhouse good for a post round sandwich and beer, overall an enjoyable course, easy on the golf game.
