The Tradition Club is just north of downtown Hartford, off I-91 at the Bloomfield exit, east to Poquonock, north to Pigeon Hill, then west to the golf club. It's the old Millbrook GC, designed in the 1960's by Geoffrey Cornish, and further refinements by Roger Rulewich. It's a parkland style layout that's improved considerably recently, and is a fun and enjoyable course to play at a good value. Scenic, even though a couple of holes are along I-91, nice elevation change, well conditioned with an interesting blend of holes. The fairways and greens are in great shape, it's a challenging course with a few steep hills/ravines and a brook that must be cleared on many holes. After a round you will find the restaurant a great place to relax, have a few brews and and good food - not just a hot dog either, with an outdoor patio overlooking the 9th green.
