The TPC is in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. It's the course everyone wants to play, the PLAYERS Stadium Course, designed by the diabolical Pete Dye and made famous by the 17th Island Green. It's always neat to play the courses the Tour plays and this one is no exception. It's the course that is the venue for the PLAYERS Championship, the fifth major. It's one tough golf course, no matter which tees you play from, and even though it went through a total renovation in 2006, it didn't lighten up on the course's teeth. It's mostly a Florida parkland style of course with tree lined fairways, extensive natural waste areas, heavy bunkering, greenside collection areas, and plenty of water. It's a long 7215, 155 slope, 76.8 course rating from the TPC tees, which they won't let you play from unless your scratch, but no matter which tees you play it from be prepared to shoot 6 over your handicap, and loose some balls! Also have the Valley course here, nice course, water on every hole, well bunkered, but not as tricked up and difficult as the Stadium.
