TPC Las Vegas, formerly known as TPC Canyons, was designed by Bobby Weed, with Raymond Floyd, and opened in 1996. The course is routed through desert arroyos and barrancas, with several of the par threes are green islands in the midst of the desert waste areas, and force accuracy. The course has moderate mounding, natural waste area sand, and traditional bunkers. The bentgrass greens are fairly generous in size, but extremely quick, as the course advertises 10.5 Stimpmeter readings. Top playing conditions all throughout the year. The course plays to a par 71, 7,063-yards with a 73 handicap rating, and a slope of 131. It's one of the more expensive courses in Las Vegas, but the TPC experience of service and conditions make up for the cost.

Very expensive, well kept, but with few amenities. No GPS on the cart, not essential but helpful when your playing a course for the first time, IMHO. Of course with all the GPS devices out there, probably not much of an issue. When we played the greens are rock hard, punishing, and probably roll at about a 12. Good challenge for local golfers who can develop a feel for the greens, not enjoyable for the out of town recreational golfer, imho. Low handicappers will enjoy the challenge, but mid to high handicappers will find may of their approach shots going through the green and can expect to 3 or 4 putt often.
