TPC Las Colinas is where they play the annual Byron Nelson Championship, located east of DFW airport in Irving off the Carpenter Freeway, at the Four Seasons resort. The course was originally designed by Jay Morrish in 1982 who collaborated with Ben Crenshaw and Byron Nelson, and was renovated in 2002 by D.A.. Weibring and Steve Wolford. The course has the similar TPC features with stadium type seating areas, long and difficult with sand around the landing areas and greens, and water in play on half the holes.. It's a par 70 course of 7,166 yards, 142 slope from the back tees, but has four other tee boxes. The layout is over rolling hills, with oak and mesquite tree lined fairways, sand bunkers and small lakes on a number of holes, including the final two strong finisher holes. Over the top expensive, but most of the Tour stops courses are. For other more reasonably priced options in the DFW area check GolfNow! for the best rates.

Always fun to play where the pros play, conditions were great, some of the holes were extremely challenging and long, and from where the back tournament tees are gives you an idea just how good the Pros are. Well maintained, just expensive
