Town Lake Hills is located in an upscale residential community in Woodstock, far north Atlanta. I-75 North to I-575 North to exit 268. It's an Arthur Hills course of 6784 yards, 73.2 rating, and 140 slope from the gold tees. Very well maintained course, hilly with tree lined fairways, nice elevation change, good amount of bunkering, and good sized, fast greens. Can be a tough course from the back tees, make sure you play from the set that matches your game. Good restaurant in the clubhouse, overall very well done course and facility.

This is not an easy course as many holes the fairways slope. You end up playing from many unlevel lies. There are also lots of hazards to avoid or go over. I also liked that every hole was unique. I never said "Gee, this reminds of that other hole". I also liked the par 3's here. Only one was kind of long but they were all fun and challenging. This is not a course for beginners. My playing partner lost at least a dozen golf balls. He claims he had fun so guess it was worth it. There are a few holes that having knowledge ahead of time would have helped, especially #18. Next time I will know to play the second shot down the left side for the best approach to the green. The clubhouse facilities are very nice and the beer was cold.

Greens have firmed up and are faster than they've been all summer. Still some irregularities from aeration, but course is looking better than it has in a while. Its a good deal right now.

Fantastic course. Greens were overseeded recently, but don't have aeration holes. Rough is grown in in most places and very penal. 6-10 inches sometimes around bunkers. Layout is challenging but fair if you play away from trouble. Its a must play if you love golf.
