Tower Ridge is on the west side of Hartford, off Nod Road. It's a Geoffrey Cornish design of 6,400 yards, par 70. It's on rolling land in Simsbury and adjoins the Talcott Mountain and the Heublein Tower. From the back tees, the course has a rating of 71.5 and a slope rating of 130. It's a semi-private course, with a good sized clubhouse, and an overall nice atmosphere. Very enjoyable layout, with rolling hills, challenging holes, and nice views throughout. The guest service here leases a little to be desired, but the course is well cared for, and usually in fairly good condition. The course had been private for years, but had opened for public play due to the economy, and the rates are reasonable. The layout is a little quirky on a few holes,

It was extremly hot 100+ so i expected them to have many water jugs full but I only saw 1 jug on the course. They had their club championship the day before so the pin placements were especialy tough. Yardage markers were few and the tee boxes did not seem to match the yards on the score cards on some holes. It is a nice course with many challenging holes. I only saw a couple brown spots but with the heat wave we have had i expected it to be much worse.
