Tour 18 Golf Course is located about 10 minutes east of Houston's George Bush Airport in the Humble area. The course is made up of famous replica holes from Augusta National, like the three holes which make up "Amen Corner", Doral's #18 closing hole, #17 island green from Sawgrass TPC, Harbor Town, Pebble Beach, LaCosta, Bay Hill, Pinehurst, Inverness, neat to play all in one place. There's a feeling, obviously, that's it's a bit made up, but you'll probably never get the chance to play all of these courses, which were copied pretty much as the original holes are designed. Service and conditions have slipped in recent years, there are better quality courses in town, but it's fun to play just for the experience.

Our group really liked this course. It was our first time playing it on our yearly fall trip, but it was in really good shape. The tee boxes were good, the fairways were in great shape, and the greens were awesome (even if they are bermuda). The one negative from this course was the cart-mounted GPS system. It was awful - the yardages were not right and it took us several holes to completely convince ourselves that this was indeed the case. If you have your own GPS units or yardage marking devices, make sure to take them with you as the cart-mounted GPS units on these carts were atrocious. Otherwise, it was a great experience and my group will be playing this course in future years.

First off, this is in no way an advertisement. I joined the Player's Club at Tour 18 a couple of weeks ago. $29 a month for unlimited range balls, handicap service and clinics on Saturdays. But the best part, is you can play after 4:30 any day for $9 with a cart! Even if you only get in 9 holes, $9 is a deal.
