One of the top munis in Connecticut, it's southwest of Hartford between I-91 and I-84 in Berlin off Rt 71 and Kensington Road along the Ragged Mountain. Reasonably priced course, especially when you walk, and it's an easy walk. Plays to 6700 yards, 127 slope from the Blue tees, not overly penal, yet you have to pay attention to the routing to score well. Nice shape for a muni, but always pretty slow. Designed by Al Zikorus in 1970, but updated recently by Stephen Kay and Doug Smith. The layout is pretty well bunkered, especially around the greens, and a stream runs across a couple of holes, otherwise it's just the trees which will get in the way of a good game.
