Tiger Point is in Gulf Breeze, directly on the Gulf of Mexico, just outside Pensacola, and is routed along the Santa Rosa Sound. There were 2-18 hole courses here, but 9 hole of the West was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan, and hasn't been restored. The East course was designed by Bill Amick originally, then redesigned by Jerry Pate and Ron Garl. It plays to 7,041 yards, 74.2 course rating and 141 slope from the tips, and is an open links style of course, wide open off the tee, with water in play on 14 holes, including an island green. Extremely challenging course, very scenic setting on the Bay, well conditioned always. The West course was designed by Pate and Garl as well, and plays to 3,414 yards, and didn't have the quality of the layout and style as the East, but if you have time for just nine more holes, it's enjoyable to play. Very well run golf course and clubhouse, with a good 19th hole.
