The Wetlands is a fairly new course in Lafayette, but is growing in well, and is, in my opinion, the nicest course in the area. It's an open layout, links style, but it has a good amount of water in play, and is exposed, so the wind's always blowing. It's just north of I-10, exit 101, about 1 mile west of the I-49 intersection. It's a fun course to play, trouble is in the form of water on 11 holes, and 60+ bunkers, mostly around the greens. The greens are open up front which like links golf allows you to run the ball up to stay under the wind. From the black tees, it's 7300 yards 74.9 rating, and slope of 134, and was designed by Frank Burandt. Fun course, a good challenge, good rates, and worth your time to play.
