The Waynesville Inn Golf Club is in Waynesville, about 45 minutes west of Asheville, I-40 west to exit 98 off US 23/74 in Waynesville. There's three nine hole layouts here, the Dogwood, Carolinas', and Blue Ridge. All are fun and interesting to play, parkland style of layouts, with hilly and sloping fairways. It's always in good shape, the rates are fairly reasonable, and you don't need to be a guest of the lodge here to play the golf course. The course and the lodge has been around since the 1920's, all of the courses are mountain style layouts, fairly short at 3,000 or so yards from the tips. The courses get a lot of play in the summers, and I've seen conditions suffer a little over the last few years, but it's still a good choice for golf in the area.
