The course is north of Charlotte between I-85 and I-77, 20 minutes from downtown. From the back tees, it's 7000 yards, 140 slope, and was designed by John Cassell in 1996. Nice layout, but conditions suffer at times. The routing is mostly tree lined fairways on rolling land, with some elevated tees, and raised greens. Mostly straightforward design, just need to keep it in play to score well here. Greens are large, contoured, with moderate undulation and speed.

Course is in fantastic shape right now. Now is the time to play, it is not crowded and the rates are fairly inexpensive. Staff is nice and courteous.
