The Refuge

The Refuge is just south of the airport on London Bridge Road on the north side of Lake Havasu City. The golf course is private, but still takes public play if you can ahead. It's part of a residential development that's stalled due to the recession with the course routed through the roads that have been cut in, and a few houses. The layout is links style, designed by Arnold Palmer with views of Lake Havasu throughout. The fairways are mounded, there's plenty of traps, water and the greens huge, plus the wind's always a factor here. Nicely conditioned, rates are steep, easily the best public access course in the area, please it while you still can.
