The Oaks is an hour east of New Orleans, exit 24/Firetower Road off I-10 in the Pass Christian area. The course is routed through a housing development with homes on half the holes so far, and tree lined fairways on the rest, with some nice isolated holes. The course can play to 7000 yards, 131 slope from the back tees, and is parkland style with water on a couple of holes, mostly the par 3's. It was designed by Steven Caplinger and Chris Cole, and if not for the "Hooters" girls running the beverage carts, would probably not get my attention.
