The Oaks at Sherwood

The Oaks at Sherwood is on the east side of Baton Rouge off I-12 at Sherwood Forest Blvd to the north. The course is sandwiched in between a residential community with homes bordering 7 holes, the balance of the layout is interior with parallel holes, but fairly spread out. It's a parkland layout with tree lined fairways, plays to 6,500 yards from the blue tees, 71.3/127, and was designed by Ralph Plummer. There's a stream running through the course affecting play on a number of holes, a couple of lakes, and bunkering mostly around the greens. Semi-private club with a private club feel to the clubhouse and conditioning. Good value for the quality, challenging and fun layout with a variety of interesting holes.
