Maplewood CC is on the east side of Bethlehem on Main St, in fact the road splits the course in two. The course was designed by Donald Ross in the 1920's, and was originally a major resort destination, today they have about 20 guest suites if you're staying overnight. It's a target style of layout, routed through the trees with most fairways tight and narrow. The greens are small and raised, fast and undulating. At only 6,000 yards from the tips and a 115 slope, you'd think you might tear it up, think again! Very enjoyable, conditions were not fully up to par, but the greens were superb. Fun, old style course, beautiful setting, truly a step back in time. You also might try Belhlehem CC back in town for lower rates, but The Maplewood is a better layout.
