Castle Hills is a semi-private course up in Lewisville off I-35 at Rt 121 a few miles east. It was designed by Jay Morrish, and from the championship tees it's 6,607 yards, 140 slope, 72.9 course rating, with one longer and two shorter tees. The layout is unusually hilly with good elevation change and water in play on all but four holes. tree lined fairways, but somewhat open off the tee, lots of wetlands, streams, and lakes, challenging for all levels of play, and one of the better courses on the north side of Dallas. It's routed through a residential community, but the homes don't really come into play, and aren't right up on the course. Enjoyable course, plenty challenging, well conditioned, and recently renovated.

Fine golf course, nice variety of holes, good course for the mid to low handicapper, great conditioning, especially the greens, and a challenging, but fair layout.
