The Grand is in Del Mar, north of downtown San Diego about 20 minutes, exit Carmel Country off the Ted Williams Freeway. One of the more expensive courses in the San Diego area, it was designed by Tom Fazio, and plays to 7100 yards, 139 slope from the back tees. The course and setting is beautiful through the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, nice elevation change, always windy, and in excellent condition always. The rates do drop at twilight, and it's the only time our group ever plays it, and it's still a treat. Upscale hotel/spa on the grounds here as well.
