The Dunes at Maui Lani is just south of Kahului, and was designed by Robin Nelson, and from the back tees is 6831 yards 130 slope. The layout is of a minimalist design by disturbing little of the existing lay of the land and routed the course on the existing dunes complexes here, similar to the classic natural links courses of the British Isles, with the out 9 holes, in nine holes original layout. The course is not on the coast, but inland in a valley, and is the best kept secret on Maui, and the greens fees reflect it! Great fun, and interesting layout.

Llinks style golf course so you need to get the ball up in the air, unique to Hawaii. There are many challenging holes that make it an interesting course to play. This place was a pleasure surprise to find, it is in the middle of a residential area, also on the side of new and future development areas. They have a nice driving range and putting green. Not far from the airport, good for playing before you head home.
