Currictuck Club is a Rees Jones design through an upscale residential resort development, on the north side of the Outer Banks, in Corolla. The course can play to almost 6900 yards from the back tees, 136 slope and 74 course rating. Great golf course design, lots of variety, very challenging, but fair off the tee in most cases. Nice variety in terrain, and hole layout, usually in great shape, but way over the top in greens fees. Guess because they're the only golf course on the north side they can get away with it, and you can too if you play later in the day, they drop the rates by 1/3. A little arrogant in the pro shop, but everyone else was nice and friendly.

Currituck Club is only a few miles north of Duck. It was the most expensive of the courses, being that is the only one on the north side of the Island. A fun layout with a few challenging holes. The back nine plays along the sound and is a wonderful setting for golf during the late hrs. of the day. There is a chance to see a variety of wildlife. Nags Head is a longer drive from Duck. The course was in much better condition than Currituck. When the wind is howling, it becomes a pretty difficult course. The homes are extremely close on some holes. A couple quirky holes, but all in all another decent course to play.

Very nice course in a great setting. Well maintained. The back nine has a little more character with varying elevations on tee boxes. Not a long course. Enjoyable surrounding landscape. Resort area, so don't expect to finish in four hours. But if you're playing here you're probably on vacation too, so relax!

What a shame, the nematods have ruined the golf course, yet they still charge ridiculous rates with poor conditions. Additionally, our tee time was for 12:15, we got off at 1:00, add to that a 4 1/2 hour round, 5+ hours. Service wasn't much better, except the beverage girl who was always around. The cart guy met us at the cart drop off after 18, and didn't say a word. Seems like they get aways charging these high rates, with this level of service and conditions since they have a new batch of customers every week. IF you're staying Corolla, there's not much choice other than driving down to Nags Head to the Links or Seascape, but that adds another hour to your day.
