The Country Club At Lake City is just off I-75 at the US 90 exit in Lake City, in northern Florida, an easy off/on from the interestate. It's an old club, used to be known as Southern Oaks, and has been around since the 1970s, designed by Willard Byrd, and is open to the public. It's a nice alternative to Quail Heights, but it's a bit more expensive. The course is parkland style over some rolling hills, and through an older residential development. It's a strong course from the back tees at 6,784 yards, 73.4/135, but has four shorter sets of tees. Have played both courses numerous times, both are good, but the Country Club is just a better overall layout, with better clubhouse and restaurant facilities.
