The Cedars on Salmon Creek is on the north side of Vancouver, 30 minutes from downtown Portland in Brush Prairie. Fun golf course, but a challenge, load up with plenty of balls when you play the Cedars. It's been upgraded over the years, and is now in constantly good shape, a little soggy though after heavy rains. Well out in the country, and mostly natural corridors lining the holes. The routing has a lot of variety with cedar trees lining the fairways, crossing Salmon Creek numerous times, doglegs, hilly and sloping fairways, it has it all and requires target style golf to score well. Water, trees, sand affecting play on most holes, 6423 yards 135 slope from the tips, the White tees are more manageable but still a strong test at 6,077 yards, 129 slope. There's a full size driving range and practice area, nice pro shop, and a good bar/restaurant. The only complaint here is the pace of play do to the difficulty of the course.
