The course is located in the Dells area on Castle Rock Lake, part of a resort real estate development, and was designed by the Tour 18 group that has courses in Dallas and Houston where they've replicated famous holes, here there's only 7 replica holes. The non-replica holes here are great as well, and the whole course is just a great experience, with a well conditioned course. The third hole is the par-3 16th hole at Augusta National GC, the one with the major break to the green where Tiger's ball just slipped into the hole. No. 4 is a replica of the par-4 fifth hole on the South Course at Oakland Hills CC in Detroit. The 525-yard sixth hole is the par-5 16th on the South Course at Firestone CC in Akron. The 10th is the Pete Dye-designed 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass, the island green hole. The 11th hole is the centerpiece of Augusta's Amen Corner, the 13th. No. 12 is the third hole at Oakmont CC with the church pew bunker. It's a must play course, playing to 7200 yards from the tips, but there are 4 other sets of tees.

Played in the lalte afternoon on Tuesday, the pace of play was great, no one on the course. It was in excellent shape, rates were fair, and the layout outstanding, especially the replica holes. It was about 30 minutes from where we were in the Dells, but worth the drive, although as with most courses around here, at least the upscale ones, it was a little pricey. Would highly recommend.
