Designed by Palmer, the course plays to 6948 yards, slope 142, and is a fairly hilly course with a lot of elevation change. The course is laid out through wetlands and longleaf pine tree lined fairways. This is a tough course from all tee locations because you really have to hit straight shots to have a chance to hit greens in regulation. Plus, the greens are very sloped and tricky, so if you are like me and rely a lot on having to get up and down in 2 to make par, you'll have an interesting round! There are also a lot of hazards on the course. A true shotmakers course, use good course management, and don't try to over power the course, and you'll get around in a decent score. Nice break from the more level terrain of most of Pinehurst.
