6713 yards, 132 slope, was designed by Fred Altland in 1995, and is about 15 minutes east of Gettysburg and west of York, and is truly a hidden gem of a course. It's a great test of golf skill, excellent facilities, and very inexpensive to play. The fairways are tree lined, with a good variety of holes, especially doglegs, where you'll find that you will use every club in the bag. I think the greens were the course's main defense, all different sizes and shapes, with humps, like tiers, and good undulation, and very fast at times. It's a shotmakers course, forget about the long drive being a big advantage, it's course management. The conditions were very good, and the fairways especially were in great shape. There's some elevation change here, and on occasion you'll have uphill or downhill lies, but not too severe. Two cuts of rough, the first cut just off the fairway was not bad, but the second takes everything off the ball, and creates tough lies. The course has good bunkering throughout the fairways and greenside, and will catch the slightly errant shot. The conditions were top-notch, as was the service.
