From the tips, 7,221 yards, 143 slope, a tough test, no matter where you tee off from, The Bog's routed through 300 acres of wetlands, woods, rolling hills and wildlife habitat, with one side of the course bordering Cedarburg Bog, the largest peatland in southern Wisconsin. The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 1995. It is located north of Milwaukee, west of Port Washington. There's a variety of holes, and uniqueness to each one in terms of strategy. There's long or short holes, left and right doglegs, forgiving or narrow fairways, and changing elevation through. The greens are well bunkered, medium sized, and undulating. The routing provides that only a couple holes run parallel, otherwise, it's a fairly secluded experience. The tees, fairways and greens are all bentgrass, and the roughs bluegrass, out of play areas have natural grasses and wildflowers. There's a total of 116 bunkers, some revetted, and penal. The course can play very difficult, and is a challenge to any game. Fairly well conditioned, tough to make a special trip all the way here to have the course beat you up.
