The course is part of the Forsyth County's Tanglewood Park, and includes two 18 hole courses designed by Robert Trent Jones. The Championship course was the host course of the 1974 PGA Championship won by Lee Trevino, It's reasonably priced to play, but does play slow at times. The Championship course plays to 6637 yards, and 133 slope, while the Reynolds (Tobacco money) plays to 6086 yards and 125 slope from the back tees. The Championship course is toughened by over 100 bunkers, on sloping terrain, and tree lined fairways. The greens are small, quick, and with good undulation. The Reynolds course is a bit more tame, but is still and excellent test. The facility is well maintained with good customer service, and is located just southwest 15 miles of Winston Salem.
