Sunset Landing Golf Course

Sunset Landing is located adjacent to Huntsville International Airport between Huntsville and Decatur, on the west side of the Army's Redstone Arsenal. Take I-565 to Exit 76. The course is essentially a muni run by the airport authority. It doesn't rival any of the RTJ Trail courses in quality, but then again, it's very inexpensive to play. From the back tees it's 6,803 yards, par 71 with 71.9/118 ratings, and designed by Bob Baldock in the 1960's. .It's kept in reasonably good condition, mostly wide open off the tee with a scattering of trees, and bunkering around the greens. Relatively flat, and open link-like layout for the most part, fair and playable golf course, fun to play, a good ego builder.
